Problem solved!

209.179.192.23

I tried a different DVD and then switched back, but I still had the same problem. Or so I thought! I had seen the initial screen that states that you need a DTS-capable DVD player and a DTS decoder somewhere in the system, but what I hadn't noticed was that the PCM "icon" at the top was highlighted and the DTS "icon" was not. (This is our first DTS DVD!) I hit the left arrow key and selected DTS and now it works. :)

One quirk with my DVD player. Once it started in DTS mode, I quickly hit the forward key to the 5th chapter, which is the first song "Hotel California". For whatever reason, my DVD player was back into 2 channel mode. I re-inserted the DVD, selected DTS, and then let the movie enter into the 1st chapter completely. After about 15 seconds, I was able to hit forward, stop-and-restart, etc. without it leaving DTS mode. Odd!

Thanks for your help! Your suggestion gave me a solid clue as to my solution.
