I currently own I sony a/v rec with built in dd and dts decoders I watch my movies on my sony dvd player s500my question is this, i bought a dvd movie (the bone collector) it has dd and dts formats. now my amp has a dts decoder but my dvd player does not have a dts decoder or dts output. i have selected dts sound and it plays fine the dts sound and logo come up before the movie stars is this dts sound my amp says it's dd.?
I think the dvd player has to have at least the dts output to achieve dts sound as long as the amp has the decoder am i right.?
