The Nak lists for $1,200, and I've found retailers in my area discount only about $100. I've seen a mail-order quote for $949..that's probably around the best price that can be found..I've looked at this receiver long and hard and like it more than the Yamaha 995 and Denon 3200, which I believe are most comparable to the AV-10. The only drawback on the Nak is its lack of ``future protection'' (extra imput for future formats). But it does have Dolby Digital and DTS. It's also skimpy on the listening modes (natural and hall), but musically it's high-quality.
