ok folks, i have talked my wife into letting me start putting together a HT system (i already have a 300B SET system for audio which i love). so my question is given a limit of $1500+- total for TV and DVD, what should i be looking at?i want a 32" TV w/ component video capabilities and a decent single DVD/CD player (ie not multi-disc). on the short list are lowest end Sony Wega 32" TV (w/o pip etc.) for $1300 and a Panasonic 32" w/ component video for $1000. obviously the Sony option leaves me short end on looking at DVD players... but i was looking closely at the Pioneer 525. the Panasonic TV route gives me more options like a Denon DVD player, Yamaha, or higher quality Pioneer. is there a whole lot of picture quality difference between these players a DVD "novice" like me will notice? what is the point of diminishing returns between a $200 DVD player and a $500-$600 DVD player.
thanks for any thoughts.
