My father has an older Onkyo TS-XV70Pro receiver and it's remote is the worst. The only way to change a station on the tuner is to cycle up or down once you are in the right "class" no direct access. Plus it has millions of small buttons that he never uses. My 9 old Carver receiver had a great plain and simple remote, of course it didn't have any Pro Logic or surround stuff (except for the Sonic Holography which was all of 1 button), but it was simple and allowed for everything I needed to do in a remote.Jay
