Hi everybody,I plan to install an HT (5.1) system in the coming two years.
Currently I listen only to music (2 channel) but in the next 2 years I'll move slightly to HT (DD/ DTS for movies) and DD audio. I am a big fan of HI-FI so I don't want quality compromises regarding the stereo system and the future Digital audio (5.1) standard. What is your opinion to start with a very good stereo and adapt later to 5.1 ?. In this case is better to start with separates (pre and power amp)?. Does separates helps future extension. Do I need to by specialised pre with 5 outputs form the very beginning or I can add pre (how many) later?.
Should I wait a little bit longer and start with 5 channel power amp?. Do I need a special pre (with 5 inputs linked with 5 outputs)?.
I know the questions sound silly, but I need very much an advice, just to clarify myself.
Thanx in advance,
