Unplug the unit, leave it off overnight, then plug back in and give it a go. Make sure the unit is well ventilated, also.If you still experience the problem you need to get it repaired or get a new one. I've found with Sony that if you spend lots of time and make many, many phone calls you can get the to eventually fix or replace the unit. They are a stubborn lot though.
