Well, it sounds like it could be DVD player. However, it could also be the processor, the cable, or even the TV (unlikely though).

I would try hooking up the DVD player various ways to the TV to see if you can isolate the problem. i.e. use at least two different cables, directly to the TV vs. through the processor and even to different jacks on the processor and on the TV. That way you can say for sure where the problem is.
