Please give a brief description of the Bose system so we can judge if parts can be progressively upgraded or is it an all or none situation? I would hesitate about advising to ditch it completely. It is probably excellent value for $2,000. A better path might be to retain it all and slowly build up an alternative, learning as you go. The Bose can be a second system backup in another room (bedroom?).Welcome to the madhouse - the more who join, the more comfortable we incurables feel!
