Michael,The SCM1 is the nicest sounding speaker I have ever auditioned for the money. I am so impressed with it. When I heard them, I was listening through an Arcam Alpha 7, and the experience was unforgettable. I can't give you any personal opinion based on expereince, b/c I haven't purchased them yet. But I will say that I listened to 805's right after that on an Adcom, and was very disappointed. This led me to believe that you need to make sure your amp will match that smooth B&W sound.
