i've bought several infinity/other products from ubid. with (2) sets of infinity speakers being " refurbed ". both arrived in " new " appearance and condition and are working great. i talked to a tech rep at infinity and was advised that ubid. buys much of infinity's backlog/discontinued products. the refurbs tend to be factory demos/displays , as most electronic stores sell their equipment as demo's. they sell these to ubid. as refurb's as they sell them cheap and with a warranty of generally (1) year vs. (5) yrs. for new products. most electronics are " generally " trouble free with speakers being pretty reliable. i have no problem with refurbs as they are for the most part new equipment which was used as display items - most are hardly used. i don't think you have much to worry about. happy listening
