I owned the PV1000 for about a week. It currently has taken up residence in my uncle's stereo. He is quite pleased with it. However, there is no way this piece extends to 22hz. I did some sweeps with the Stereophile test disk and an RS sound pressure meter and this sub is strong to 31.5. Output takes a nosedive below that, even with room reinforcement. It should also be placed on a carpet as mine rattled incessantly when placed on a tile floor, due to the huge cone excursions needed to generate the kind of bass it can.
