Look at teh ceramic nOrh 4.0 set up. $850 for the 5 speaks, but if there is WAF, have her approve the looks first.
Then with the remaining $1200 you could add either a single sub like the ACT Titan II, SVS, or perhaps dual smaller subs for the mains to make them truly full-range and give you stereo bass. How about a pair of Hsu VTF-2;s ($1000) plus a Paradigm X-30 crossover (150). You could then use the Hsu as (albeit low) stands for the mains.Another alternative is the Edge Audio HT package which is $1300 complete I think (with sub) and well regarded.
