Casanova is an upgradable piece as mentioned so this does mean that whatever the Theta is lacking currently it may someday have that option available such as analog bypass. Also their stance on DVD-A and SACD is wait and see until the formats settle down. They do not want to release a 5.1 analog bypass option only for that connection method to become obsolete. I love my Theta, and I also love that this is one of two of Theta's own processors and they are committed to sticking to them and making them their only processors of the future through upgrades.
