Thank you for your response. However, as I have thought about your suggestion (and it's not a bad one) I found myself wondering why it should be that the sonic properties of a home theater should be less important (or less demanding) than the music-only system. We start from a premise based on experience that the emotional impact of music is greater with a better sounding (high-end?) system (otherwise why bother, right?). Why shouldn't a high-end system improve the emotional impact of a movie/video/DVD? Does our vision so overwhelm our hearing?
