I ma by no means an expert, but have seen some info on it in regards to front projection.
I think the JVC D-ILA projectors use a proprietary form of this technology.
In addition, I think some new companies are introducing LCOS front projectors as well.I would post your inquiry (or do a search of) the DLP, LCD, D-ILA forum at
www.avsforums.com, I have seen some posts there (not about your specific TV, but the technology)I think "light engine" is just a marketing word (in this place it takesthe place of CRT, or DLP, or LCD)
