Dear all!I just had to purchase a Philips Hopper SV 10 because it is reasonably bright (600 Ansi), is quiet and therefore could work well in a Home Cinema.
One problem remaains though:
This Philips does not support the 16:9 mode on the DVDs. So how do I get the best picture quality? Since I have not yet invested in a DVD player I still have all possibilities:
1. cheap DVD and wait until PAL progressive scan player become cheaper
2. DVD with good picture quality like Pioneer DVD 626?
3. Even better DVD like Pioneer DVD 737 with NTSC progressive scan possibility
or 4. PC source for Home Theater? Is it worth the hassle (no remote control etc.?)
How bad is the missing 16:9 feature of the Philips?
Thanks for all helpful answers!
Rudolf
