is the JBL HT Series THX System good speakers?

I am planning to purchase the JBL HT Series THX Speaker system. Is this set good speakers for the current DTS & Dolby digital Films? It comes with 3 identical LCR speakers 2 Dipoles for Surround & 2 Passive 12" Subwoofers. The owner sells the whole set for approx. $1,500.00 Any comments will be appreciated
