The difference between the audio quality of the Denon and Pioneer is marginal, but there are lots of people who swear that the difference is easily heard. I doubt it. But just knowing the fact that the Denon uses 4 (yeah, FOUR) Burr-Brown 1704 DAC chips in a balanced config (but no balanced analog output?) may just make the Denon sound better than the Pioneer by default. And you'll certainly feel better and sleep better at nights (or perhaps even during the daytime) knowing that your DVD/CD player uses the same DAC chips as Mark Levinson No 360S and 30.6.What does your heart tell you?
