It sounds like you have a defective processor.

Having used mine for nearly a year, with firmware 2.04 and 2.05 I've never seen (actually heard is the right word) a problem like you've described.

Out of curiosity, how did you isolate the frequency?

Have you swapped power cords?

Just something to consider.
