budget 5.1 ready preamp

Hello,
Can anyone recommend a budget preamp that's 5.1 ready?
Right now I'm using a Marantz AV600 preamp/5 Marantz MA500's/Panasonic RV80 dvd player. Unfortunately the AV600 doesn't have a 5.1 input so I can't use the Panny's decoders.
My options are to get an outboard decoder or get a different preamp.
Any recommendations??
