I was going to Circuit City to buy a cheapo VCR for my son and noticed the JVC HR-5900 S-VHS VCR for $199. I haven't bought anything from CC in a long time but the price was $80 cheaper than Audioadvisor,($279 at AA). Well, my 1 yr old Sony is in my son's room and I installed the JVC in my H/T setup, what a beutifull picture and pretty damn good sound. Wish I had bought a S-VHS player sooner. I use it to transfer video from my son's martial arts classes from Hi-8 to tape,WOW! Great Picture. I do need to learn more of the features, it's pretty loaded compared to my older Sony.

PS; I suppose that D-VHS or DVD-R's will be replacing these things soon.
