Why just the dvd? A lot of movies can be rented on tape, but not dvd,
a vcr is pretty much a neccesity. Mine is a SuperVHS vcr, and i prefer that type, they usually work better, even on rented tape. Second, even with the vcr, there is actually some good stuff on tv, concerts, old movies, the news announcement that WW3 has just started....
