I have an old television that only has a single coax input.
All of my devices (receiver, DVD) have RCA outs. I purchased a "Gold Plated Phono to F adapter" (Part No. 278-276) from Radioshack, assuming this would allow me to convert from a single monitor-out jack (on my Marantz SR-96 receiver)to the coax in on my television.
It doesn't work!!!
Any ideas/suggestions? Is a phono to F adaptor not the correct kind to take a video out and convert it to coax?
Could it be possible that my television can only accept a coax in & that a converter will not work (I find this impossible to believe considering the physics of the electrical connection.)
Any advice would be appreciated.
Is there some other converter I should be looking for?
