I have a similarly priced system in my home and couldn't be more please with it so here goes:
Toshiba 50" TheaterWide TV $3000
Marantz SR-19EX $2000
NHT VT-2.4 & 3 VS-2.4s $3500
NHT SA-3 Subwoofer amp $700
(to bi-amp towers)
Marantz DV-7000 DVD Player $700
(or current model)
Total $9900
Please keep in mind that these are retail prices and I got much better prices at my local dealer. That would leave money for all of the appropriate cables (I'm quite fond of Kimber Cable). For the money, I really feel that this is a tough setup to beat. It has excellent dynamics and plenty of output unless you have a really large room. I was most impressed by the SR-19 receiver and the VT2.4 towers, I'm not much of a videophile so maybe there are better products for the money. The receiver comes with a great remote, and the more break-in time the speakers get, the better they sound-INCREDIBLE bass and impact. If you have any questions, please feel free to email.
