I've tried this post before on the General Audio board with not much response. I am interested in any information or experience people have with VCD recorders. I am considering getting a CD recorder but am debating if a VCD recorder may not be a better idea - it would allow audio CD burning but also replace my VCR for recording TV shows etc.
While I am aware that the video quality of these recorders is, at best, VHS-like, I do not know anything about the audio quality of the units. There are a number of Asian brands offered via eBay - anyone know anything about these?
I have found info on the Terapin recorder on the web. Reviews are luke warm at best, and the unit itself would stick out like a sore thumb from the rest of my pieces, which I have put together both on a/v quality and on visual appearance esthetics.
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
