Re: S-Video Output on VCR

Yes, I believe that VHS VCRs record the luminance and chroma info separately, so using the S-Video connection keeps these signals from screwing each other up as they would in a composite connection. It's the same principle that's behind the recommendation to use S-Video on DVD instead of composite (of course, component would be better still).
