how to "demagnetize" a TV screen?

199.174.17.89

Well, thanks to Dman, I got my DVD player working--you were right, Dman, just needed to find the right input channel--who'da guessed it to be channel 00? Oh well! Getting great DVD sights and sounds now.

Unfortunately, while moving my system around I set my TV down between my klipsh heresy's. Can you say BONEHEAD???? It was no sooner I had done that that I went Oh Sh*t! and moved the TV away, but it was too late. Now I have a purple spot in the upper right corner and a green spot in the lower middle.

It's been about 1 week since I did that, and I figured maybe the TV would de-mag itself by turning on cold each night. Nope.

Is there an easy way to get rid of these unsightly spots? (Madge, I'm soaking in it!) Thank to the Asylum dwellers for any hints!
