hello,
I was planning on running the progressive scan component video thru the receiver. has anyone directly compared this with a straight run? It's a low-budget pioneer receiver (710 or 810 version), paired with one of the new JVC 7-disk DVD changers (cool!). I was planning on running it thru the receiver so it would be easier for my less stereo/electronically inclined parents to watch DVD's.for a non-videophile system, is it all that important? They will have a ~50" HD widescreen, which will probably be very revealing.
Thanks,

BTW, what do you guys think about the Hitachi HDTV monitors? My dad just bought one without checking out any of the selection at best buy. i'm talking about the 53" ~$2500-2800 model. in this price range, how do they compare?
