SONY DVP-9000ES w/ aftermarket power cord?

anyone have an aftermarket power cord w/ this unit?
please post results...

also...
on the lower left of the unit, only the SACD light goes on ..the dts and cd lights never turn on when i play cds or dvds...

please advise!
