I kind of agree with your thinking, but I really can't stand the stretching of the image to fill the screen, and I really do watch alot of 4:3 material (STV, VHS etc.) and since I really don't own any one piece of equipment more then two or three years anyway, bu that time, there will be enough HD availability that the 16:9 will be the only way to go.

I guess I could always stick with my 36xbr400 for another year...
