Basically you have diagnosed your problem correctly. There is a difference between your satellite ground and the ground at your plug. The easiest way to solve this is to install a ground breaker for satellite frequencies. This will electrically isolate the satellite cable from the satellite receiver. It's basically two small transformers back to back. If it were normal TV signal, the easy way to build one would be to get two 75 ohm to 300 ohm transformers (about $2 each) and wire them together. For satellite frequencies, you are probably going to have to find a specialized ground breaker.
