After long search, I've got NAD t751 receiver. It was a good product for my taste when hearing 2ch stereo. However, I dont like the sound clarity from the onboard dsp's and dac's. I am thinking of buying separate processor that can perform as good as Onkyo 797, which I auditioned. The reason I chose NAD was because Onkyo 797 did not deliver even half of the current of NAD's. However, I really liked the clarity of CD sound (fed via optical) and HT sound (fed via coax) of Onkyo 797.My budget is $300, but I am not sure if there is any thing you can achieve with $300 in this world. No I am not looking for the top of the line separate components. Just looking for something that will be just as good as the one built in Onkyo 797.
I wonder if Onkyo makes a separate processor. Also, I've been thinking "good" surround processor also serves a good cd DAC's. Am I wrong?
