Re: Plasma vs. Rear Projection

The only problem with this thread is the completely lame qualifier " if money is no object" This devalues much of what these esteemed commentaries say for most of us who work for a living. I really might want to buy something described below like a 42 inch Plasma TV, but I don't get many signed blank checks from Donald Trump.

Where will you spend your vacation this summer kal-el?
On Krypton? Or is that jor-el? A four month stay in Hawaii perhaps? Maybe as a passenger on the space shuttle? I think that trip is only 18 million dollars.
Is it nobler to purchase the BMW 8 series or the S600 Mercedes?
Wait, there isn't there a 12 cyllinder Jag available too?

When I have unlimited money to spend, I'll jump in my Ferrarri and head to my home theater consultant's showroom where I'll see the latest and greatest video in person without a care for the cost factor. Until then I would like to see price-point and value for hard earned cash taken into consideration.

Thank you for a basically good question kal-el I know you meant no harm by framing this thread- who could guess it would take off like this? be well Jon
