I have the same question...I have a digital cable box and it does have audio out as well as digital audio out. I'm thinking to use digital cable from cable box to receiver so I can get 5.1 sound from cable box. I have another question...how do you record cable with vcr tape? Do I hook rf cable from cable box to vcr and another rf cable from vcr to tv or do I just hook video cable and audio cable from cable box to vcr even though i already have digital audio cable from cable box to receiver and s-video from cable box to receiver?
