A good solution would probably be the Technics SH500D DD/DTS processor. It includes a couple of digital inputs (coax and toslink) a 5.1 analog passthru, and 5.1 analog outputs.
These typically go for anywhere from $100-$200 used (out of production now, $299 new I think).
