Home Video Asylum

TVs, VCRs, DVD players, Home Theater systems and more.

The software is available for free on the web.

You don't need to actually pay for this stuff. Go to www.cdfreaks.com and look through their how-to articles. Most of the software is free, or you can use free demo versions.

You're basically going to be compressing the movie down to fit on one or two 700 meg discs in MPEG2 format. And by compression, I don't mean like mp3 compression, where information is magically restored, I mean compression where a lot of detail and information is permanently destroyed. You'll be creating a video cd.

Let us know how it works for you.
