You might want to look at the specs posted on the Denon site for the new DVM 3800. They are impressive on paper but it will not be available until April.
The one major feature that I noticed was that it is supposed to have true bass-management for DVD-Audio playback. The Toshiba SD9200 is an impressive player, Stereophile recommended (Oct 2001 issue, review also on their website) but no bass-management. You could add the Outlaw ICBM for bass-management (reviewed in Feb 2002 Stereophile Guide to Home Theater) at about the same cost as the new DVM 3800.
From all the reviews and posts I've read, it seems to be hard to find a single player that excels in both video and audio quality.
