I own the B&K Reference 30 preamp and it was recomended by their tech support that I use the tones in the preamp to set my speaker volume levels. Now when I put in either the Video Essentials disc or the AVIA disc the tones are much softer at volume levels I usually use to listen to movies (-15dB on Preamp). My question is, is it best to use the tones from the preamp to set speaker levels or would the tones off the AVIA or Video Essentials disc be a better choice? Also, if I do use either of the above discs I wuold need to turn the volume level way up to get 75dB out of my meter. Any help here would be appreciated.
