It generates the same range of IR codes that some other universal remotes can do. So I'm curious about that. Usually you can do the sort of thing you want with one of the manufacturer's own remotes *if you know the right code sequence*, and assuming it's doable by remote. Search the web diligently, I have found the service/maintenance etc. codes for my newish TV and DVDP by looking. The Pronto isn't hard to learn, really, easier to do than it looks.
