Hitachi,Toshiba or Mitsubishi widescreen hdtv?

I am building a new house and plan on recessing the TV in the wall. I'm not sure of the exact models but they are between 50-56" and cost between $2,400-$2,800. I liked the looks of the Mitsubishi 55" Platinum series they had on display the best, so what I really wanted to know is how the Hitachi's and Toshiba's in this price range and size compare(reliability, features, picture after adjusting, etc...) and I'm open to other manufacturers and models in the $3,000 or under with 50-56" screens.
