I was listening to Yello - One Second ... a very fast-paced CD ... in stereo mode on my Denon 2802 receiver ... out of curiosity I switched to DLPII Music Mode ... and it sound kind of crappy with the music all over the seven speakers (I use surround back speakers as well) ... and then I switched to DLPII Cinema Mode ... and all of a sudden the instruments moved to the front (as they were supposed to) ... but I could feel the ambience from the surround speakers ... and it all sounded very magical ... it was an awesome demo for DLPII. I was almost like I was there in the audience (not the feeling of being on stage ... which I hate).
I was just surprised that DLPII music mode sounded so bad (I did play with all the settings ... but it did not seem to come anywhere close to the cinema mode). This recording has a lot of ambience ... so I am thinking I just lucked out.
If you have this CD ... please report your findings here. Thanks.
