Hitachi FX850E VCR videoplus

There seems to be a problem with VideoPlus on my Hitachi FX850E VCR. Sometimes, it gets the channel wrong. I thought it might be a misprint in the paper, but today I checked by typing the number into another VCR.

Does anybody know anything about this?
