I have just put together a new PC with 480Gb of hard drive and nothing to put on them!!! I got all that (6 maxtor 80Gb's) 4 in a Raid 0 off a promise card, and 2 more in another (Asus A7V333 with Raid) just for fun. So now I want to be able to store DVD's or TV as a "digital VCR" ( I don't have a normal VCR anymore and I tossed all those tapes to my co-workers)... I have a Chaintech GForce Ti4600 vid card. So??? what do I need to do this? I have heard the 'Hollywood Plus' card is good for this, but the manufacturers website doen't mention this at all... (Also they show a chip for MEPG4 coding which i would like to get IF it was in a card??? Thne the card they show with it also is not a retail item.... Any ideas???? and I heard that MEPG4 is also available as a free download software and is way faster than any MEPG. comments??
