Pioneer DV 37 Question

Owners of the Pioneer DV 37,I was wondering adout the audio quality of this player? I know the video qualities are good on this unit. I'm thinking about using this player for both video and cd play back. Or should I buy a dedicated cd player for audio play? Can this player's audio compete w/ a Cambridge 500se or the new Music Hall cd player? Those players are within my budget.
