New Panasonic DVD players?

Hi-

Hoping I can get some answers here... I have been hearing that the RP56 is discontinued, to be replaced with the RP62. Then I found this site:

This says that the new players, the RP62, RP82, and CP72 all have the Sage/Faroudja chipset.

However, talking to the local shop as well as Panasonic customer service, I'm hearing the new ones do not have the Sage chipset. I've heard many great things about this chipset, so think it's what I want to go for. Does anyone know for sure that the new players don't have the Sage/Faroudja chipset?

If that's the case, I think I'm going to find an RP56 on closeout, unless someone else has a better suggestion.
