I currently have the Sony EP9ES which does not have DTS processing. I just bought the Sony DVP500 with SACD.As a result, I'm thinking about buying the Sony TA-P9000ES 5.1 pre-amp and running the 5.1 channel output from my DVD player direct into it so I can have multi-channel SACD and DTS playback (I might get rid of the EP9ES and play DD direct as well).
Will I suffer a loss of quality using the built-in DD/DTS decoder through the P9000ES vs. a processor?
Is this difference significant? If so, what can I do to upgrade the EP9ES so it decodes DTS as well?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Ray
