HELP! I don't know what I'm doing!

Hello all,
Go ahead and laugh, but I have all of this equipment and haven't a clue how to hook it up, and I'm not about to ask the ex.
Anyway, here's my dilemma:
I have a 50' Hitachi UltraVision TV (about six years old, I think the model is S0UX58. A Technics SA-GX690 amp, equalizer, CD player, and surround speakers (all but the subwoofer)
How do I set up the TV and what are the proper connections for the rest of the goodies.
I also discovered that the owners' manual that I have for the TV is written in French and since I bought the amp from one of the ex's friends, I don't have that one at all.Does anyone know where I could get the manual for the amp, I have done numerous searches and have come up with only one site, problem is, is that they don't list an online or downloadable manual for one that is this old.
How about a handy website that will give me this info?
