Update - Xantech remote extension system installation

After years of being a slave to WAF; keeping the audio cabinet door closed thus not being able to use the remote controls on my audio gear; I finally installed a Xantech "Dinky" IR receiver that mounts inobtrusively on the cabinet front, with tiny IR emitters that attached to each controlled component. The receiver and emitters lead to a very small distribution box powered by a wall wart.

Installation is as just easy as it looks, and it works beautifully. My only comment is that the emitter cables are very long (9 ft.), making for even more of a rat's nest of coiled cables behind the components. I'd prefer a distribution box with terminal screws for the emitters (as for the receiver cable) so their cables could be trimmed to length.
