DVP-S9000ES: What discs does your play?

TVs, VCRs, DVD players, Home Theater systems and more.

video cd ? dvd video?
The manual states these two general video types. So what does this mean to those of us with computers? If I take an MPG movie off of my computer onto a CD, will it play on the S9000? I doubt avi as that is a Microsoft format, but what else will play on here?
